Extended Terms and Explanations

These extended terms and explanations are for you and your fellow students. Explained here are terms that have been derived from years of teaching students ranging from multinational executives to stay home mothers. These terms, which enable smooth running of our schedules, maximizes everyone’s time with our yoga.

Booking

All lessons are purchased and booked in advance. Purchasing packages in advance locks me into a contract with you. It also indicates your commitment while enabling us to manage goals.

Cancellations or Rescheduling

Cancellations, or rescheduling, require a 24-hour notice. You have to cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours prior to the lesson. This is important for other students who may want to have your time slot being canceled. 24-hours are usually not enough time for the other student who wanted your time slot to adjust their schedule. So canceling itself should be an extremely rare case for emergencies only.

Failure to Appear

Failure to appear at a scheduled lesson is counted as one lesson. If I appear at the door and find you are not there, and not contactable, then I will wait 15 minutes before leaving. If you are late and time permits on my end I will go over the end time by 15 minutes. Going over the end time is only possible if I have no immediate appointments after our scheduled conclusion time.

Hours of Operation
I operate as early as the metros run and as late as they close. I have been known to finish as late as 11:30 pm and start as early as 6:30 am. I operate 7 days a week.

Lesson Packages

Lesson packages are booked according to a 5 week time limit for completion. After the intro lesson we then consider purchasing packages of 5, 10 or 15 lessons. If we are practicing once a week then the 5 lesson package is chosen. If we are practicing twice a week then the 10 lesson package is selected. For 3 or more lessons per week we select the 15 lesson package.

If a student, who typically purchases 15 lesson packages, concludes the lesson package 10 days prior to a long holiday departure then the procedure would be to purchase a 5 lesson package in order to conclude everything before departure.

If I am traveling then the 5 week limit will be extended for the duration of the time I am out of town. From September through early December, mid January through late March, and mid April through mid July I usually don’t travel. My patterns over the years had me staying available for students. I usually leave town when the majority of my students leave and return when they return.

Rebooking

In order to insure your time slots, and for myself to manage the influx of new students, future bookings must be finalized before the lesson package concludes. Student time slots remain open until the payment is concluded. Completion of payment will constitute a contract which locks me into teaching you at our agreed upon schedule.

For 5, 10 and 15 lesson packages we invoice after the completion of the 4th, 8th and 12th lessons respectively. The idea here is to confirm your future booking cycle once the 4th week finishes. Confirmation is accomplished through payment which locks me into a commitment.

When your package concludes it is perfectly fine to stop and continue again at a later date. But it is important that to tell me your plans to stop before the package concludes. This is so that I can let other student’s book on your open time slots. This is why I invoice during the 4th week or at the 4th, 8th and 12th lessons of the 5, 10, and 15 lesson packages. The quarter moves fast and only two cycles of 5 weeks are all that we can do between Summer and Christmas, Christmas and Easter, and Easter and Summer holidays.

Prior to Holidays

Prior to a holiday departure we have to book for the return. After concluding a lesson cycle, and before the start of the holidays, we rebook the lessons that follow the holidays. For example if you conclude your last lesson with me on December 15th , before departing to your Christmas holiday, we must book the January 5 week lesson package. If this is not done the time slots remain open. By such a method all returning students are given priority over new students.

At the start of September, January and Spring we experience the highest influx of new students. I can get up to 3 to 5 inquiries for private lessons per week during this period. If you go on holiday in December then you will be invoiced for January prior to your departure. If I begin teaching before your return and find the invoice was not completed, then new students asking for your time slots will get priority.

Such a protocol enables me to asses the placement of new students while insuring the old ones their time slots. When we pay prior to our holiday departure I am insured that you are not changing your mind during the holidays. If you extend your stay or I return before you then I can clearly communicate to the new students what the schedule will look like in the immediate weeks and following.

Holidays

I am available to teach on your private holidays. For this my costs have to be covered. Costs include, plane fairs, transfer costs, accommodation and food. On top of this is a per day fee depending on the # of lesson and the # of students.

All payments for teaching on your private holiday must be completed prior to my departure. The teaching schedule, along with the hotel info, and travel tickets have to be concluded and forwarded to me prior to departure. This is best discussed 4-6 weeks in advance.

Payment Methods

Payments are handled online through paypal. All moneys paid are non-refundable unless I choose to cancel the lessons. In such a case I simply press the refund button. Depending on the paypal account I use I will invoice in British Pound (£) or U.S. Dollar ($).  If your account is in a currency different from the invoice then you will be absorbing the conversion charge while I absorb the transfer charge. Once again payments for the 5, 10, and 15 lesson packages are made in advance.
